When you hear the words Abbey Road your mind is immediately taken to the infamous Abbey Road Studios, made famous by The Beatles.
(Remember the cover of The Beatles crossing the street? That Abbey Road!)
Abbey Road Studios is now a worldwide leader and educator in the fields of Audio Tech and Sound Recording Careers.
In need of a complete, turnkey solution for a portable exhibition display, Abbey Road contacted us to discuss their needs. They had heard about our reputation within the exhibition industry and felt that we were the company that could best deliver on their project requirements.
The display needed to re-configurable to suit both 6m x 3m booth and a 9m-inline stand, as well as able to be reusable for all types of exhibitions. The different configurations were required to suit two counters that could also be used as one; these are made up of a reception counter and a display counter that present iPads showcasing the courses Abbey Road has on offer. The total stand includes counters, tension fabric graphics, TV’s, lighting and carpet; Portable Creations supplied the complete exhibition package.
With their own design concepts in mind, Abbey Road supplied the initial imagery, however we needed our designer to reconfigure the design and layouts to suit the functionality, layout and aesthetics for the forum of different exhibitions.
With impending exhibitions on the horizon, we were under strict time frames to complete the stands in 4 weeks. This time frame was well and truly met and, after the first expo, Abbey Road was so pleased with our product and service they engaged us to project-manage their exhibition program. We now look after all storage, freight, installation, imagery and content changes as well as maintenance.
The photos that you see of the stand are the initial set up of Abbey Road’s first use of the portable exhibition stands and showcase Molly Meldrum. Being an icon in the music industry and a patron of the Abbey Road studio in the UK, it only made sense that Molly attended as a guest on stand.
